Viewability: Seen is the New Served
Last week, we brought you an article by Charlotte Hudson Carter explaining viewability and how it’s affecting the digital advertising industry. This week we show you how we’ve been doing viewability right for years.
LET’S TALK VIEWABILITY.
What is it? Viewability refers to the numbers linked to the eyeballs that see an advertiser’s ads, no matter the screen: mobile, TV—wherever. In short, viewability means that seen is the new served when it comes to ads. This gives digital advertising more accountability while also allowing a better comparison to other forms of media.
WHY DO THESE NUMBERS MATTER?
1) Because viewability ultimately drives performance…
All the pieces are there: the right message to the right customer at the right time. Viewability is just the last piece of the performance puzzle.
2) Therefore, that’s where the money is…
Advertisers are now able to pay for ads seen, not just served. This represents a major shift in the way agencies will be held accountable for the way their ads perform.
3) And we are rocking it.
Our numbers are looking great. We’ve continuously outperformed the industry benchmark in all of the 12 campaigns we’ve tracked since the fall of 2013.
HOW DO WE KNOW WE ROCK?
We partnered with VideoHub to help us understand how our ads are performing. Here’s what they had to say about us:
“Slingshot is blowing out our rather high benchmarks, driving high-quality, TV-like environments for your clients.”
These numbers are great news for sure, but we’re far from content. We’ll keep on working, innovating and dreaming up new ways to make our clients look great. So stay tuned, or, better yet, contact us to learn more, because there’s so much more to come.
