Making an impact: The Susan G Komen 3-Day
At Slingshot, we often talk about how we impact our client’s business. But this November, we did it in spades. The client? The Susan G Komen 3-Day. The impact? Nearly $19k in donations and lots of fun had by all.
The Slingshot Team, a.k.a “The Juggernauts” was comprised of six walkers—Ann Vorlicky, Lindsay London, Julie Bowman, Michelle Cheney, Susan Levine and Teresa Hunt—and each was required to raise $2300 to participate. Thanks to the generosity of friends, family and industry vendors, the team not only reached the required $13,800, but exceeded it by nearly $5,000.
What’s more, nearly all Slingshot employees turned out for at least one of the three days of the walk to man the company cheering station, affectionately known as The Tit Stop.
Whether handing out beverages, snacks, words of encouragement or our very popular collection of commemorative pins, each one was deeply appreciated by the over 1,000 walkers that participated in the 2014 Dallas 3-Day. Including, of course, their own exhausted team.
