Slingshot Serves Up New Red Mango App

Dallas Agency Launches New Fro-Yo Finder

DALLAS – (August 29, 2013) – Today Red Mango, twice named top frozen treat in the country by Zagat surveys, launched its newest frozen-yogurt-finding app thanks to Dallas-based Slingshot LLC. The agency developed the new app that pinpoints Red Mango locations and highlights each location’s “flavors on tap,” which rotate often. The free app is available for download today at the Apple App Store.

“The relationship we have with Dan Kim and his brand is built on a foundation of innovation,” said Bob Moler, Slingshot VP and loyal Red Mango lover. “We have enjoyed many a cutting-edge assignment with Dan but none more exciting than this one. We really worked off his passion to make it happen.”

The app’s home screen displays the nearest Red Mango store because that’s what customers (and Slingshot designers) said they wanted to know when they first open the application. Frozen yogurt fans can also get directions and phone numbers, flag favorite locations and even search for stores by their favorite flavor.

“Slingshot delivered a sleek application that reflects modern design trends,” said Dan Kim, founder of the famed Red Mango chain. “The opaque features, screen-swiping capability, responsive mapping zooms and the modest user interface make it simple for customers to find a Red Mango location and manage their Club Mango® rewards digitally.”

Red Mango ArticleSimplicity is key to Dallas-based Red Mango’s offerings, which feature all-natural, gluten-free ingredients and “super-biotic” live, active cultures in every taste. Its confections, which are all low- or no-fat, contain no artificial sweeteners and no high fructose corn syrup. The Red Mango menu features 50 flavors of frozen yogurt, including Spicy Aztec Chocolate, Sugar Cane Cola, Sonoma Strawberry and Cake Batter.

The app also caters to franchisees across the country with its ability for individual store owners to remotely and reliably update store hours, menu items and each location’s five featured flavors.

Today Red Mango operates 250 stores in the Americas—including a shop less than ten minutes from Slingshot offices in Dallas’ West End Historic District.

Red Mango and Slingshot will continue to innovate on additional promotional efforts in 2014.
