Owen founded Slingshot in 1995 with the belief that clients and agencies were missing out on opportunities enabled by the exploding media landscape and digital environment. Prior to that, he spent seven years running businesses as diverse as Tom-Thumb Grocery Stores, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts and Pergo Flooring at The Richards Group. Owen started his career planning media for brands owned by Nestlé and Anheuser Busch for what is now known as Publicis Mid-America. One of Owen’s first loves was architecture, which was his undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia. Later Owen would return to his hometown of Dallas where he would earn his MBA at SMU. And while he’s worn many hats throughout his career, his favorite two are those of husband and dad.LinkedIn
David may seem mild mannered, but plans to make your brand famous are brewing. He has 20 years of experience of leading big names like Greyhound, Dave & Buster’s and the American Heart Association. His fortes include: establishing consumer brands in any media and leading marketing teams in design and development of integrated campaigns. In his 15 years at Slingshot he has worn many hats. Karen has been with Slingshot for over eight years and in that time has proven that her energy puts a spark plug to shame. With over 25 years of financial and accounting experience, from public accounting with a large global firm to advertising agencies of all sizes, Karen definitely has us covered in the money department. Proud and vocal about being a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Karen shows her Longhorn pride wherever she goes. Susan began her career as an Art Director working for NYC advertising legends Jerry Della Femina and Cliff Freeman. Later she joined BBDO/NY where she rose up the ranks to Sr. VP Creative Director working for clients like Pepsi, Visa and AOL. She met the prince of darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, and her Super Bowl spot for Pepsi which featured “The Osbournes” earned her an Emmy nomination. Her mantle at home includes a few Clios, a Lion, Effies, Addys and the London Internationals. Susan has also created her own charitable line of vintage rock ‘n roll style apparel for dogs called TORU.LinkedIn
